Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog. Here’s where I hope we get to know each other and I can share lots of information with you.
I know kiddos everywhere are getting ready to start school. With the current COVID pandemic still affecting our lives, I know school is doing to look much different for many kids. Some are going back in person with mask requirements, some have a mix of in school and at home, others will be only at-home.
For those kids at home, each situation is going to be different. Some will be enrolled in their local public schools, some in cyber schools, and others will be taking a more traditional home school approach. There is no one size fits all!
I have over 17 years experience with homeschooling and hope to be able to share my knowledge and experiences with all of you. Over the coming weeks I am going to share resources and tips I have learned along the way. I welcome all of your questions and will do my best to answer them as quickly as possible.
For now, as you look at the upcoming school year my first bit of advice is try not to look too far ahead, take it one day at a time. You will have good days and bad days–your children will have good days and bad days. One of the most important things to remember is learning should be fun. Learning is occurring all the time, not only during the times they are sitting with a text book open. Enjoy each moment you spend with your child because they will go by quickly. Remember- You have been your child’s teacher from the time they were born. You are fully equipped for this job and you are going to do great!
While I am getting the next post together, I would love to hear from you. Let me know things you are struggling with and any questions you might have. You aren’t alone on this journey, we will do it together!
